Accomplishments

Tahoe CC is proud to provide a sample of our green accomplishments in creating an environmentally friendly campus. For a visual sample, please check out the flash video below.

All buildings are being renovated to maximize the use of sunshine, including the installation of solar panels to provide solar energy year around.

Buildings have been fitted with automatic lighting and water facilities to conserve energy and water.

All lighting has been replaced with ultra-low power fluorescent lighting.

Recycling bins are on every floor of every building in strategic locations for recyclable materials such as glass, aluminum, paper, and plastic bottles.

Posters adorn many of the hallways to encourage students and faculity to be energy efficient at all times. We even have one day a month designated as Go Green Day, where everyone is encouraged to wear and think Green!
