At PAWS, our pets are our daily focus. Here are some of what we do:
- Sponsor abandon Pets
- Provide shelter and care for lost and abandon pets
- Work hard at preventing animal abuse
- Provide free classes on pet care at local shelters
- Work with other animal-loving organizations
Message From The Founder
I founded PAWS about 10 years ago when through a tragic incident mw little cat was killed. She was a beautiful cat name Hana. My sister had adopted her but found that she interfered her daily life so she simply dropped her off one day. Hana never quite recoverd from the loss of her original owner and eventually perished outsidethe house because of cold and hunge. No matter how much I cried out her name and searched, ther was no response and one day, I found her body behind my house. Hana's life and death deeply effected me which was why PAWS was founded. Our goal is to educate people about pets, to let them know pets have feelings and emotions, and to understand pets need love and effection as much as any of us. We want per owners to have happy and healthy pets. Having apet comes a great joy as well as responsibility. We are here to help and educate anyone interested as to the joy of having and living with your favorite pet. We are a local non-profit organization located in the Washington Metro area. We hope you join us in our endeaver to help our pets and give back some of the joy they bring us every day.
